OpnIn is a Safari extension that adds messaging-app shortcuts next to phone number links on websites. We respect your privacy and designed the app to work with minimal data collection.
2. What We Collect
- App Preferences: Your chosen messaging apps and settings are stored locally on your device using App Groups shared storage. This data never leaves your device.
- Subscription Info: Managed through Apple's App Store and processed by RevenueCat to verify and sync your purchase status. We do not access or store any payment details.
- Web Page Content: The Safari extension reads phone number links on web pages you visit in order to inject shortcut buttons. This content is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to any server.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To display messaging-app buttons next to phone numbers in Safari.
- To remember your preferred messaging apps and settings.
- To manage subscription status and premium features.
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Storage & Security
All user preferences are stored locally on your device via shared UserDefaults (App Groups). No data is transmitted to external servers for app functionality. Subscription verification is handled securely through Apple and RevenueCat.
5. Third-Party Services
OpnIn uses the following third-party services:
- RevenueCat: For subscription management and purchase verification. RevenueCat processes purchase data according to their privacy policy.
No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs are included in the app.
6. Safari Extension Permissions
OpnIn requires permission to access web page content in Safari to detect phone number links. The extension:
- Only reads
tel:links on the page - Does not read, store, or transmit any other page content
- Does not track browsing history
- Does not inject ads or modify page content beyond adding shortcut buttons
You can revoke this permission at any time in Settings > Safari > Extensions.
7. Your Choices & Rights
- Extension Access: Disable the extension at any time via Safari settings.
- Data Deletion: Delete the app to remove all locally stored preferences.
- Subscription Management: Manage or cancel subscriptions through your App Store settings.
- GDPR/CCPA Rights: Users in the EU and California have additional rights to access, delete, or port their data. Contact us at me+opnin@sufiyanyasa.com.
8. Children's Privacy
OpnIn is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
9. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after updates means you agree to the latest version. We will notify users of significant changes through the app.
10. Governing Law & International Privacy Rights
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Malaysia and applicable international privacy regulations. Where your local privacy laws provide greater protection, those laws shall apply.
